Dr. David Joung, DMD
Meet Dr. David Joung, DMD
Dr. David Joung, DMD attended Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. He then attended dental school at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency. Early in his career, he practiced at Jefferson Dental Clinics in Lewisville, Texas, and at Arte Dental in McKinney, Texas.
Dr. Joung’s parents were missionaries in the Philippines and grew up as a missionary kid during my childhood. Dr. Joung had the opportunity to observe various mission trips that came to the area to serve. One trip that stood out the most was a group of dentists that came every year to provide service to those in need. Even at a young age, Dr. Joung could see the importance of oral health and how it affects health, confidence, and general quality of life. Dr. Joung was able to witness firsthand the impact the dentists had on their patients. Regardless of the profession Dr. Joung chose, he wanted to help improve the lives of those that he encountered. He felt that as a dentist, it provided a way to accomplish that goal practically and effectively.
Dr. Joung likes to read, golf, and hike when he is not in the office. He cheers for the Pittsburgh Steelers but pretends to cheer for the Seahawks to fit in.
